Lip Lift

A lip lift is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to enhance the appearance of the lips by shortening the distance between the base of the nose and the upper lip. This procedure is used to reposition an aged, elongated white upper lip to a more youthful anatomic location. Increased lip fullness and teeth visibility are feminizing effects of this procedure.

Lip lift surgery is generally well tolerated results in minimal post-operative pain. Some bruising and swelling and be expected and slowly resolves over the first 5-7 days. Sutures are commonly removed within 5-7 days. Stiffness and numbness in the upper lip can be expected to last for approximately 2-4 months. Most patients resume work and regular daily activities after 1 week.
