What Techniques are Used to Perform a Brow Lift?
There are several surgical approaches that can used to perform a brow lift. The surgical approach chosen by Dr. Best will be based on your underlying anatomy, cosmetic concerns and desired result.
- An endoscopic brow lift results in a global lift that is performed endoscopically through very discrete incisions in the hair line.
- A lateral temporal brow lift or “fox-eye” lift specifically targets the tail of the brow and is performed through a small incision on either side of the temporal hairline.
- A trichophytic lift is performed through a longer incision along the hairline and is typically reserved for patients with a high forehead who are not candidates for the other techniques.
- A direct brow lift is performed through an incision just above the eyebrow and is typically reserved for patients with facial paralysis and brow ptosis.
- Fat grafting can be used to restore infra-brow, periorbital and temporal volume which creates youthful fullness and highlights.
- A subtle chemical brow lift can be achieved using neuromodulators like botox.
